Commonwealth holds 3rd Annual Open Evening
On 20 February the Institute of Commonwealth Studies opened its doors for its 3rd annual Open Evening. With over 35 prospective students from diverse backgrounds, the evening proved to be a resounding success. The Director of the Institute welcomed guests with a brief introduction and highlighted the uniqueness of ICwS, whilst the team from the MA Human Rights course gave an overview of the programme and detailed why it is as a leader in its field as the UK's longest-running multi-disciplinary and practice-oriented human rights MA. Staff and prospective applicants mingled afterwards over wine and canapés, whilst current students and alumni shared their experiences.
The Institute was pleased to host representatives and their displays from Jubilee Debt Campaign, Progressio and the Careers Group of the University of London as well as representatives from the School of Advanced Study Registry.
Thanks to all involved for making the event a positive and successful evening. We look forward to the next one!
