We specialise in providing material which is unavailable elsewhere in the UK or, in some cases, in the country of origin. Our collections comprise 70% material published in non-UK Commonwealth countries, and 40% government publications.
The Library holds:
- Over 190,000 volumes
- Over 9,000 periodical and serial publications
- 230 archival collections
- 13,000 publications issued by political parties, trade unions and pressure groups
